HERE IS CHRISTIE COMING TO YOU LIVE FROM CGP STUDIO BRINGING YOU THE INSIDE NEWS ON THE WONDERFUL SALLY HARRISON!!!!!!!!!!!

SALLY THE AMAZING ABORIGINAL PAINTER WAS BORN ON AUSTRALIA DAY 1949. SHE ONCE WROTE, "I am a self taught artist and took up dot painting in 1992 at Carnarvon, Western Australia in an effort to come to terms with my life as an Aboriginal and one of the “stolen” generation." PRETTY COOL STUFF HEY!

If you think that is pretty powerful words to come out and say what about her winning two amazing awards for her creations! These awards were presented to her for all of her amazing awards! These awards were the 2003 Bremier Institute of TAFE Special Achievement Award and The 2006 Best Show Of Ipswich Art Gallery.
Sally has also been in a total of 9 exhibitions and a total of 2 solo exhibitions.

ART HOMEWORK

DESCRIBE THE PICTURE:
I think the picture is very colourful, graceful, beautiful and amazing! I just reminds me when I look at it of the flower patch at a park i used to go to as a child.

DESCRIBE THE PAINTING TECHNIQUE:
I think Aunty Sally started with a black background which you can see peering through the back. I think she was very free when painting and might have blocked in the shapes first then filled in the detail.

DESCRIBE THE COLOURS AND WHY YOU
THINK THEY WERE THE CHOSEN ONES TO USE:
I love all of these fresh, glowing, beautiful, bright colours. I think they were chosen because flowers are naturally bright and wild colour wise!

WHAT STORY OR IDEA DO YOU THINK AUNTY SALLY WAS TRYING TO TELL:
I think this could have been a child hood memory area for Aunty Sally or else she might have wanted to share this beautiful area/spot with the world! As you can proberly see this peice of art doesn't really tell a story but is still mind stopping and amazing!

For the Last two weeks we had a special visitor. Her name was Aunty Sally! She was such a nice loving person who helped and taught us allot!! Aunty Sall was such an amazing artist. She taught us key colours, brushing tchniques and many more!!!
